Quick Brioche recipe
Ingredients:
2 packets of yeast.
¼ cup of warm water.
1 ¼ cup of buttermilk.
2 medium eggs.
¾ cup of butter, softened.
1/3 cup of sugar.
2 teaspoons of baking powder.
1 tablespoon of salt.
5 cups of all purpose flour.
Butter.
Directions:
In large mixer bowl, soften the yeast in warm water.
Add the buttermilk, eggs, butter, sugar, baking powder, salt and 2 ½ cups of flour.
Blend on low then beat at medium for 2 minutes.
Stir in the remaining flour by hand and knead until smooth.
Shape into round loaves and place in greased large brioche moulds.
Cover and allow to rest until light (about 45 minutes).
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from your oven and brush tops with butter.
